How much does a website cost for a small business in London, Ontario?
A YXU Studio website is a one-time $499 for a Starter site of 1–3 pages, $899 for a Standard site of 4–6 pages, or $1,399 for a Pro site of 7–10 pages. Prices are in Canadian dollars. Hosting is free on every plan, and a monthly Care plan is optional.
What do the monthly Care plans cost?
Care is $49 a month for up to 30 minutes of edits, plus form and uptime checks. Care Plus is $99 a month for up to an hour of edits, a new service or area page each quarter and a Google Business Profile post every month. Both can be cancelled anytime.
Do I own my domain and my website?
Yes. The domain is registered in your name on your own registrar account, and you pay the $15 to $25 a year for it directly. The site files are yours too. If you ever leave, you take both with you to another host or developer. Nothing is locked to YXU Studio, and a Care plan can be cancelled anytime without losing the site.
What's included in the free hosting?
Hosting costs nothing on every build plan, so there is no monthly hosting bill. Your site is served as fast static pages from Cloudflare's global network, with HTTPS included. Edits after launch aren't part of hosting: add a Care plan from $49 a month if you want changes handled for you.
What are the ongoing costs after launch?
One: your domain name. That is usually $15 to $25 a year depending on the ending, and you pay the registrar directly rather than paying me. Hosting is free for as long as the site exists, there is no platform fee and nothing to renew. A Care plan is the only thing you can add, from $49 a month, and it is optional.
How do payments work?
The homepage preview is free. If you go ahead, you reply to the written quote and pay a 50% deposit. The rest of the site usually takes two to three weeks, and the balance is due at launch. Care plans are monthly, or pay a year up front and get two months free.
